The Money Matter Group was only formed in the Autumn of 2010 and is still developing.
It is NOT an investment club. The aim of the group is to widen member’s knowledge on any financial matter that interests the group. So far speakers have talked on minimising Utility bills, ISAs and Inheritance Tax, which generates further group discussion. There is a list of future topics, such as care for the elderly and hopefully other subjects will develop.
The Group meet on the first Thursday of the month in the Committee Room at the rear of the Village Hall at 10am for not more than two hours. Around a dozen members have usually attended. A few more members could be accommodated without destroying the informal culture.
The cost is £1.50 per session including coffee and biscuits. All participants are expected to help with both the refreshments and suggesting speakers etc.
