The Balsall Common U3A  is part of a national and international voluntary learning co-operative whose aim is to encourage lifelong learning for people 55+.  The Balsall Common U3A  founded in 2006 by Life President Anne Santos as a self-help group, to provide educational, creative, leisure and social activities for members of the local community no longer in full time employment.

Our group leaders give their time and expertise voluntarily. No qualifications are required and none are awarded. The cost for membership is £16 per year.  Some activity groups make a small charge per session. The U3A offers the opportunity to make new friends, learn a new skill, visit places of interest or take up a new hobby

There are now about 200 members and 24 different groups. Activity groups meet at various venues in the village. We have a Core Meeting on the fourth Monday in the Month which normally includes a Guest Speaker.  When this is a Bank Holiday we meet on the third Monday in the month. All Core Meetings are held at the Village Hall, Station Road, Balsall Common.

Any member who wishes to start a new activity group should contact a member of the committee or Click Here
