Events take place on 2nd Wednesday of each month.
We visit a variety of places of interest which are not usually open to the public or where it is preferable to have a guide.
It is hoped that the events will be both educational and social occasions. Visits usually end with afternoon tea.
Events are within reasonable travelling distance and venues may often be reached by public transport - reducing cost and hassle of parking.
There are currently approx 50 members on the register but approx 20 people attend each event and new members would be welcome.
Costs are usually less than £5 and any profit is either donated to a charity or put in U3A fund.
Details of each event are sent to members by email at least one month prior to the event and a notice is on the board at each core meeting.
An album containing reports and photographs of all events since January 2007 is always on display at core meetings.
A closing date is given for each event and payment is made when names are given.[ No refunds]
Cheques should always be made payable to Balsall Common U3A.

We will return to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesday 14th March and meet a guide to look at a variety of ceramics. The tour will again commence at 2p.m and last approx 1 hour. Cost of event is £5 per person and cheques payable to Balsall Common U3A should reach me by 7th March.
The Edwardian Tea-room is ideal venue for tea / coffee and a chat at the end of tours.
